More strange lights filmed over Oakland.

Looks like there are strange lights flying over Oakland again. Almost a year ago I had reported of a strange object (or objects) being filmed over Oakland, CA with a night vision enabled camera. Well it seems the strange craft (or something similiar) is once again flying over Oakland and YouTube user KevinMC360 was able to get some video of it.

Looking at the video I can't really say what the three objects are. But I feel I can say what I believe them NOT to be. No way they are birds, as some have claimed them to be. Birds do not move that fast nor do they stay in that tight of formation. I read on another site of how someone claimed that you can see the birds flapping their wings on the enlarged portion of the video, well that isn't what you are seeing. Since the video was zoomed in digitally, you get some pixelation and that is what you are seeing here.

Also I doubt they are some form of civilian aircraft. That formation is once again a rather tight one, and three individual ones wouldn't move that fluidly throughtout the sky. Now could it be some sort of military craft? Perhaps. Remember for years the Air Force kept secret the F-117 and B-2 programs. Granted they weren't testing them over heavily populated areas but I digress. As for the possibily of it being extraterresterial, who the hell knows. I'm seeing three objects moving in the sky. They are flying and unidentified. That is the definition of a UFO, which is what we have here.

More strange lights seen over Clovis

In the early morning hours of October 13, 2010 a witness reported to MUFON that they saw a strange light in the sky. Upon first seeing it, they assumed it was nothing more than a star when it began to flash colors as well as changing in intensity. It then began moving in an erratic motion (the witness reported it to be a zig zag like motion).

Recovering from the initial shock, they went in and woke up their roommate who also witnessed the object. After watching the object for almost an hour, a second one appeared. At that time the witness reports that they called the Fresno airport to see if they were seeing the same thing. They state that the two officers in the tower did admit they saw something but didn’t report it as they felt it wasn’t threatening, so they didn’t report it.

They two witnesses watched it for another hour and at around 3:45 when the first witness called KMPH Fox 26. They spoke with a reporter, but for some reason they didn’t have a camera ready. The witness goes on to state that they contacted MUFON the next day and also found out that a police officer had seen the same thing (there was no record of this report, so I’m not sure how valid this claim is).

Its hard to say what this person saw, but I do find it curious that both the officials at the airport and the reporter at KMPH didn’t take this too seriously. I can almost understand why the airport would say they don’t think it’s serious as they would want to downplay the sighting. But I can’t figure out why 26 didn’t act more on this. The excuse of not having a camera ready doesn’t seem plausible for a television station. Either they were taking the sighting seriously (which could be possible) or they were told not to. As I don’t want to seem the conspiracy theorist, I will opt more for the first option. Though you think they could have given a better response than the half assed one they did.

Still I may have call them and see if I can find out anything more.

MUFON report: Went out for a late night cigarette and saw them!

I am fascinated by space and the stars so when I am outside at night I always look up. Well as I lit my cigarette in the backyard of my house in Clovis, and began to gaze up, I noticed a star-like object in the sky as I looked to the south east. It was flashing many different colors. (red, green, blue, purple, white) Not only was it flashing colors, but it was pulsing, dimmer, brigter, dimmer, really bright, dimmer etc. At this point I knew I was definately not looking at a star or any type of airplane or helicopter. Then I saw it do something I will never forget, it moved! It didn't just move it zig zaged down, and then shot up at a fairly rapid pace. I don't know of any man made aircraft which can hover, stop, and instantly change direction. It also could go from a very high rate of speed to a complete stand still. When I got over the intial shock, I ran inside and woke up my roommate *(Name deleted--CMS/sg). I was so excited I yelled and shook him rather hard. When he woke up he was terrified and upset that I woke him up so abruptly when he had school early in the morning. After he heard what I was yelling at him we both ran back out in the backyard. He even noticed the object moving and changing color without his glasses and turned right back around to run in and get them and a pair of binoculars. I stayed to keep an eye on it and he came running back out and was even more shocked when he saw it with his glasses. We both took turns using the binoculars for about 45 minutes and that's when we spotted the second one. It was more to the east than the first one we noticed. It was doing the exact same thing; pulsing, changing color, and making very erratic movements. However, this object seemed to be higher up. At about this time I had *(Name deleted--CMS/sg) go get the Fresno Air Terminal Security phone number. I called and spoke with a young man named **(Name deleted--CMS/sg) who said he could't get outside to see but he would phone the tower. The two officers in the tower did admit they had seen some strange blue/green lights, but they did not think they were threatening so they didn't investigate further. *(Name deleted--CMS/sg) had to go to bed because he had school so early. I continued to watch as I proceeded to call anyone and everyone of my friends and family to try and wake them up so they could see. Unfortunately, nobody woke up and my webcam wasn't good enough to see anything on. I continued to watch for another hour then called Fox 26 newsroom at 3:45 or 4am and spoke with a young lady. I was hoping they would have a camera handy, they did not. (I found that hilarious) About this time I noticed something even more shocking, I could see many more that were farther away (not higher). In total, I counted at least 9 or 10 different objects. The next day I contacted MUFON and learned a local police officer had reported seeing the same thing! I felt so validated when I heard that, and that made up for all the crazy looks I'm gonna get telling this story. This was the most incredible night of my life, and I will definately never ever forget it. I know some people I talked to last night and today might not have completely believed me, but both (Name deleted--CMS/dr) and I know what we saw and we will tell anyone who will listen! We have a video camera tonight so bring it on! (I am currently working on a sketch)

UFOs seen over NYC on Oct 13 were balloons

As I had reported on Wednesday, a supposedly retired NORAD officer had predicted in his book that on Oct 13, 2010 alien spacecraft were to make themselves known by hovering over major cities throughout the planet. Unfortunately there was no such occurrence in Fresno, or for most of the planet at that. But there was something strange seen over New York City that day.

As this video shows, multiple objects were seen over the Big Apple in the mid afternoon. Were they the alien spacecraft that were promised? Unfortunately no, turns out that they were balloons that were “accidently” released by students for their teacher who had an engagement party.

According to the New York Daily News one of the student’s parents brought about forty iridescent pearl balloons to the school for language arts teacher Andrea Craparo, when a gust of wind sent several of the balloons floating away.

Experts with the National Weather Service confirmed that a wind was blowing between 5 to 10 mph at the time, which does lead credence to the balloon theory.

Both police and the FAA were receiving phone calls from concerned citizens wondering what the objects were. Police officials said they believed the objects were most likely balloons.

Then there is Stanley Fullhan, author of the book that started all of this. I have contacted his spokesperson, a Mr. Randy Kitchur, in hopes of getting a response. If I do I’ll post it here to share with everyone.

Aliens will make contact today, Oct. 13 2010

According to retired NORAD officer Stanley A. Fulham, a fleet of extraterrestrial vehicles will make themselves known to the entire planet Earth today, Oct. 13, 2010 when they will hover over major Earth cities.

The aliens reasons for making their appearance are that they wish to communicate with the people of Earth. According to Fulham, they are trying to intervene with humans destroying the planet.

He goes into more detail saying that the event will begin a process that will lead to mankind’s acceptance of the concept of aliens. The aliens will then grant “technologies” that will remove poisonous gases from the Earth’s atmosphere by no later than 2015.

All of this information can be found in Fulham’s book “Challenges of Change” where the author goes into detail how the initial interaction between the aliens and Earth will occur. He goes on to say he knows this as he has been in contact with 43,000 “old souls” that he calls the “Trancendors”.

Fulham claims he has been on contact with a “distinguished foreign ambassador” who has read he book and with great interest has sent it back to his home government where it was translated and is being studied by top officials.

For more information on Mr. Fulham and to order his book, you can visit his website.

We here at Weird Fresno have to wonder if Fresno has been picked as one of major Earth cities. Who’s up for having a “Welcome to Earth” party on top of the Security Bank building?

A case of misidentification

On early Saturday morning, this past weekend, I was driving home from a kareoke birthday party at Tokyo Garden. It was about 2:30 am and I was heading north on Hwy. 99 and took the Ave. 7 off ramp as I always do when I saw a strange light darting about to the north of me. Curious I drove in the direction of the lights. What I saw was three bright lights flying low over a bunch of grapes. The object(s) would swoop down and then dart back up and then disappear only to reappear several minutes later and repeat the process all over again. At this point I had an idea of what was going on, but I wanted to get closer to be sure. As I got within a mile of the craft, I saw it swoop back up and turn off it's lights and at that point I saw the familiar green and red marker lights. I rolled down my windows and heard the engine. Yep, it was a cropduster. I was a bit disappointed and then headed home.

Later that day (i.e. when I woke up), I had recieved an e-mail from a Peter saying he had a very strange encounter last night 2.25am on Highway 99 around the Ave. 9 junction. Realizing he had seen the very same thing I did, I shot him back an e-mail describing what I had seen and asked him if this is what he had seen and then described how it was just a crop duster. He replied back that he thought it was a crop duster but wasn't really sure. This started me wondering how many other people that night might have confused the crop duster for some sort of alien craft or top secret military project buzzing a Madera County farmland at 2:30 in the morning. It reminded me of all the Interstate 5 sightings between Coalinga and Kettleman City that I had reported on in the past. Same type of object seen, three bright lights flying low over the highway then swooping up only to go through the motions again. Most sightings were also during the same time of night (late night or early morning) and most occur during early summer, as was the case of this sighting.

When I had first started investigating these lights I had discounted the crop duster theory. My reasoning was that June was too late to dust for crops and my evidence for this was that we never dusted that late on my family's vineyard. Only by researching on this did I realize that crops were sprayed this late into the year and also spraying for the West Nile virus was done this way. The reasoning for spraying at night as that the chemicals wouldn't evaporate as quickly during the day and therefor less needed to be applied to have the same effect.

Now I'm not saying that all UFO nighttime sightings are crop dusters, but I am wondering how many people who aren't familiar with crop dusting and their night flying techniques may mistake them for UFO's. I'm pretty certain now that most of the sightings over the years on Interstate 5 were crop dusters (well except for that one incident with the strobing red lights) that passerbys mistaken either for an alien space craft with nothing better to do than buzzing cows in the middle of the night or some super secret military aircraft that is making itself not so super secret by revealing itself to the public. Hopefully this opinion piece will help those that may have misidentified plane lights as a UFO, realizing that even the pro's sometimes get it wrong.

More UFO's filmed in Northern California

I had reported last week that several UFO's had been filmed flying over Oakland, CA late one night. More footage of a different craft (or crafts) was shot over the weekend once again in Oakland. This one is different than the one I previously posted as there are only four objects in this footage, whereas the one from last week had five.

It's hard to say what these objects are. Could be just a squadron of planes in a rather tight formation, a (small) flock of geese reflecting light from the city, causing them to show up on a night vision camera, the usual top secret government project conspiracy theory, or could it be a fleet of craft from some other planet? It's hard to say, but one thing is for sure. There's something strange flying around in the California night skies.

UFO follows traffic on I-5 near San Clemente

A California witness traveling south along I-5 near San Clemente at 8:45 p.m. on April 20, 2010, watched a "slender triangle-shaped object" moving above her car, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The witness could not judge the size of the object.

"It was either really high and very large or really low and not that large. If I put my arm all the way out it was the slightly larger than my hand."

She followed the object for 10 minutes before it moved out of view.

She said the lights on the object were light blue and the bottom or belly "of the object appeared to be rounded."

At 9 p.m., the witness had a second strange encounter with odd lights in the sky. This object was about 100 yards above the freeway.

"When I got closer I realized it wasn’t moving and it was only about 100 yards above the freeway. It was a solid white light approximately the size of my thumb at arms length just floating about the freeway. As I drove past it I was able to look out the drivers side window and see nothing attached to it. It was just a single bright floating light."

Click here for the link to the original story as well as the MUFON report.

Could this be similar to what has been seen on Coalinga/Kettleman City portion of Interstate 5? Granted most of the sightings turned out to be crop dusters, but there was still that one incident with the red strobing lights. There must be something about Interstate 5 that UFO's must like.

Farmers claim aliens attacking livestock

A series of bizarre incidents involving sheep in Shropshire have led to farmers’ claims that aliens are attacking their livestock.

Farmers near Shrewsbury claim to have witnessed sheep being “lasered” by unidentified light from UFOs.

They have linked the unexplained incidents, where sheep’s brains and eyes were removed, to the mysterious orange lights in the sky.

They have found sheep with “neat holes” while their brains and other internal organs were removed. Other animals have lost eyes or had their flesh “carefully stripped away”, usually on the left side.

Phil Hoyle, 53, who has spent almost a decade investigating how the livestock have died, said the UFOs were found to have roamed a 50-mile "corridor" between Shrewsbury and Powys.

Mr Hoyle and 15 members of the Animal Pathology Field Unit, claimed they witnessed UFOs at work last month while working during the night at a Welsh hill farm near Radnor Forest.

“The technology involved in these attacks is frightening,” he told The Sun.

“These lights and spheres are clearly not ours.

“They are built by technology and intelligence that's not from here.”

He added: “For a short while it looked more like a Star Wars battle.”

Next day he interviewed farmers and "all but one had some type of unusual disappearance of animals or deaths with strange injuries", he told the paper.

Review of The Fourth Kind

Normally I don't do movie reviews (I leave that over to the folks over at The Dumbdrum), but I received a free pass from The Fresnan for a sneak preview of The Fourth Kind, a movie which states that is based off actual documentation of people that were reportedly abducted by aliens. The movie starts off with a disclaimer by the main actress, Milla Jovovich stating that the the movie is a re-enactment of original documentary footage and also claims to use never-before-seen archival footage that is integrated into the film. Unfortunately we never heard this as there was a problem with the audio and didn't hear this, so I will have to assume this is true.

The movie then switches to the director, Olatunde Osunsanmi, interviewing a Dr. Abigail Tyler at Chapman University. Dr. Tyler recants her story of how her husband, also a psychologist, is murdered in 2000 and explains on how she continues his sleep deprivation study in Nome, Alaska. The movie then switches to reenactment mode and shows Dr. Tyler interviewing several patients. Here is where the supposed original footage is spliced in with the reenactments, in a side by side comparison. Honestly it felt like a badly done 24 without the ass kicking that involves Jack Bauer.

For the next hour or so, you see this original footage next to the reenactments, it was almost like the director wanted the audience to make sure they were watching reenactments. My problem with this so called original footage shows confidential sessions between patients and their doctor. We are told early on that the names of all the patients have been changed to protect their identity. Yet their faces aren't blurred out in any of this original footage. So this had me questioning things. They also show some police footage they claim that is real (shown alongside it's reenactment), but I find it hard to believe that the Nome police department would release any sort of police video, especially one for a movie that is about alien abductions.

I don't want to give away much of the movie, but it had me laughing at times it was so hard to believe. The ending especially, with it's supposed big reveal had me almost on the floor laughing so much. I don't want to say anything, but I'll put it this way. I've been following the UFO field since I was ten when I first heard about the abduction theory. What is reported to have actually happened at the end of the movie would have been the greatest piece of evidence ever to actually prove both UFO's and aliens actually exist. Yet no one has heard of this before. Also, in the trailer (as well as the movie) you see a saucer shaped object fly over a house and this is supposed to be police footage. You would think this would have been common knowledge throughout the UFO community of this incident, yet I have not heard one person talk about it.

Another thing is that the movie never claims these sessions happened in Nome, that the movie is based on the sessions. But in that same instant the movie states that Nome has the highest percentage of missing persons in Alaska and tries to link that to alien abductions. Yet the FBI has investigated many of these missing person reports and came to the conclusion that the high rate of alcoholism combined with the harsh landscape surrounding Nome may account for a majority of the disappearances.

Like I said, I normally don't do reviews, so I apologize if this isn't what most people expected. Honestly it was an awful movie and I believe that none of the footage is actual and was created solely for the purpose of this film to make it seem authentic and to generate buzz so people would want to see something they thought was real. No one has ever heard of a Dr. Tyler or any member of her family, nor has anything like this happen in Nome. I'm going to try to dig around a bit and see if there is any validity to this, but as of this moment I believe this movie to be one hundred percent fiction despite the claims of the director and actor. Even as a work of fiction, this movie doesn't terrify nor does it make one think about if aliens are abducting unsuspecting citizens. Honestly it makes me think someone was trying to create the next Blair Witch, or more recently, Paranormal Activity. And in trying to do that, this movie fails miserably at that.

Several UFO sightings seen in Central California over the past week

In the last part of August 2009, there were several UFO sightings reported to the National UFO Reporting Center of UFOs seen in the central part California. I'm not sure if they are all the same craft, there are a few similarities but I think they are different craft. Still I believe they are worth mentioning in hopes that maybe someone else has seen one of them and will then report what they saw. Below is what was reported linked back to the original report.

Occurred : 8/16/2009 14:00
Location: Auberry, CA
Shape: Triangle
Duration:15 seconds

Silver triangle shape - Silent

I hesitated to report this, as we only saw this for a short time. We live in the Sierra Mountains about 4,200' elevation. Sitting at the table and looking due south thru a huge window, we saw a long silver triangle (jet or plane [?]) close at a low elevation. What is unusual is we live under a flight plan for Fresno - Las Vegas & back. These go north of our home. This craft appeared to be 1 mile or closer and low, almost equal with our elevation. At most I estimate it might have been 5,000'. It was headed west and when it tilted it was totally sleek from pointed nose to the tail which was completely straight across. No wings, just a very long thin triangle shape. We ran to the west deck & couldn't see it anymore. Did our eyes deceive us? No noise.

Possible fighter jet, w/no markings, but no noise.

Two Jets following or escorting an unknown white dot looking craft.

I was walking with my mother on the Dakota and Fruit ditch in Fresno, Ca. I heard two jets so I looked up and saw that they were really close, and then I looked back up and saw that they were following something. The UFO was a white dot it kind of looked like the international space station does when it goes over. It had no blinking lights like the jets. It looked peaceful, moved slowly it looked to me as if the jets were escorting it somewhere.

We live close to the airport and it has an air defense base, I heard jets take off about ten minutes before, they were heading north then turned east, when I saw the two jets following this craft side by side they were head south west.

I remember the time being 9:03am because that is when I twittered about it.

On Aug 19, 2009 around 9:00pm me and my family were driving back from San Francisco to San Diego. We don't know exactly where we were but we were definitely in central California, deep in the boonies. As we were heading South, on our right side of the road we saw a diamond shaped flying object. It had red and green lights that surrounded the object. The object was first low then it tried to fly away but it seemed like something pulled it back then it went like 3 feet closer to the road then it went lower again. That's all I could see, we were driving too fast for me to see if it went in the sky or not. The object was definitely close to the ground, maybe about 4-5 feet off the ground.

I'm not good at describing how it moved but it certainly moved.

Three flashing red lights in a triangular shape seen south of Fresno

I saw three flashing red lights in the formation of a triangle. View looking south of Fresno at an approximate 30 degree angle from horizon. Maintaining formation, they lowered until I could no longer see them past the trees.

Two crafts spotted over Westfield shopping cntr. Modesto

2 crafts 1 with bright lights across could be cigar or saucer shaped. Other was cigar shaped deep bright neon blue glowing. It would glow and then fade out and come back. The other one hovered up and down quit a bit and side to side like having engine trouble. The blue cigar one stayed close as if to make sure the other was ok. A police or military white I think with markings plain stayed close by flying between them. Then they faded out. The hight I would say would be about 15 to 20 stories up in the sky.

3 unidentified aircraft over Modesto, CA

August 27, 2009 9:00pm PCT I was riding my bike tonight and observed what appeared to be two aircraft of some kind at about 1000 ft. above our neighborhood. There were about 10 people in the street watching.

The highest craft had two bright white lights on it, and the craft appeared to be hovering, then moving a few feet, and then hovering again.

Beneath this craft was a second craft that had two very bright neon-blue lights. It made wide circles about 100 feet under the other craft.

Both craft made small changes in altitude and direction, but generally stayed in the area above our neighborhood for about 15-20 minutes or so.

A third craft (with blinking red and white lights on it) started to close on the higher craft, and this one looked more like a conventional aircraft.

At one point it flew between the two craft (below the higher one and above the lower one). At that point the lower one (with the bright neon-blue lights on it) began flying in a fast semi-vertical circular pattern.

The third craft continued on, and eventually the higher-flying craft began to fly away in a northwestern direction.

I ran to my house and got my camera, but by then they were all gone. I checked, and no else had a camera to take any photos.

I called the Modesto Police Dept. to see if anyone else had reported seeing the lights. I was told that someone else had called in, but no record was made of the call. Nor were they interested in making one of my call.

Cattle mutilations in the Fresno area?

For those who don’t know, cattle mutilations are the apparent killing and then mutilation of cattle under strange or unusual circumstances. Signs of these incidents are the apparent surgical nature of the mutilation, and unexplained phenomena such as the complete draining of animal’s blood, loss of internal organs with the point of entry not apparent. Most bodies are found in an area where there are no marks or tracks leading to or from it. Surgical-type wounds can also be found and they tend to be cauterized by an intense heat and made by a very sharp instrument, with no bleeding evident. Flesh is usually removed to the bone in an exact manner, such as the removal of flesh around the jaw exposing the mandible.

Reports of cattle mutilation go back as far as the early 1960’s when incidents begin occurring in Pennsylvania and Kansas. It remained largely unknown to the general population until an incident in Pueblo, Colorado where the local newspaper did a report on a mutilation and was picked up by the wider press and distributed nationwide. Interestingly enough, this was the first incident to speculation that extraterrestrials and UFO’s were somehow associated with the mutilation. By the late 1970’s there were reports of cattle mutilations all across America and even the FBI was asked to investigate what was going on.

Though the exact nature varies from case to case, mutilations can have any of the following:
  • The removal of eyes, udders and sexual organs very cleanly with surgical precision
  • The removal of the lips and tongue.
  • The removal of only one ear.
  • The removal of major organs with no obvious entry/ excision marks.
  • The stripping of hide and flesh from the jaw and the area beneath the ear.
  • Lack of any signs of predators (i.e. teeth marks, tearing of the skin or flesh) around the carcass.
  • No signs of scavenging.
  • Many cases the majority of the blood has been drained from the animal. What is left may not coagulate for several days.
  • As previously mentioned, the animal appears dumped or dropped in a secluded area, with no tracks leading to or from the site.
  • Strange marks or holes in the ground around the carcass.
  • Some eyewitnesses report seeing aerial objects in the vicinity of cattle at the time the animal goes missing.
As with most strange phenomena, there are several possible explanations to cattle mutilations. Theories range from death by natural causes to purposeful acts by unknown individuals. In 1979 the FBI decided to investigate the occurrences due to increasing public pressure. After a lengthy investigation their report said that the mutilations were predominantly the result of natural predators, but some had anomalies that could not be explained. The FBI was unable to name any individuals that were responsible. Scientist and veterinarians have theories of their own. Most think that the “mutilated” animals died of natural causes and then were degraded by known scavengers. There is also the theory that people are to blame for this. Some thought it could be perhaps the work of a cult doing some sort of ritual, but there has been no concrete proof to explain this. Though there have been reports of seeing figures in black hooded robes near areas were mutilations occurred, there was no way to prove if this was true or not.

The more popular theories include either government or military experimentation or aliens and UFO’s. There have been reports of seeing “black helicopters” in the area of the mutilations. Black helicopters are basically unmarked military helicopters with no identification whatsoever. There was one reported incident that two unmarked aircraft opened fire on a farmer driving his tractor near a mutilation site in Iowa, though the validity of this story is questionable.

And finally various theories suggest cattle mutilations have been committed by aliens for the purpose of gather genetic material for some unknown reason. These theories are based solely on the idea that such clean and precise dissections in such a short amount of time with no evidence could not be performed by earthly means. Some even think that since cows make up a significant part of the human diet, a study is being carried out on this part of the food chain.

Most of these occurrences have occurred in the Midwest, but there have been some reported in California as well. A few years ago there was a rash of cattle mutilations in the Red Bluff area and the cause was never determined. This has me wondering if there have been any occurrences of mutilations in the Central Valley. The foothills are known for their cattle ranches and it wouldn’t surprise me if one or two cattle died of mysterious causes and have yet to be reported.

Black helicopters seen in Fresno after UFO sighting in May 1997

On Tuesday, May 20, 1997, viewers in Fresno, California were startled when Channel 30, the city's ABC-TV affiliate, aired a 15-minute segment on UFOs.

Highlighting the segment was a brief tape, alleged to have been shot in Fresno, showing "a round glowing object."

Prior to the Channel 30 presentation, city residents had been puzzled by reports of black helicopters on patrol over McKinley, Belmont and Olive Avenues, just north of Chandler Airport.

Eyewitness Jeff Heuer, who lives near McKinley Avenue, said he saw one black helicopter flying over the neighborhood on May 10 at about 9 p.m. The black chopper was flying low, about 100 feet (30 meters) above the ground, at an estimated speed of 160 mph.

One week later, on Saturday, May 17, 1997, at 10 p.m., Heuer spotted two more black helicopters. "There were two of them in close formation," he reported, "No sound, no exhaust, and no flashing lights--just a steady white light. They flew very close to the ground, from the southeast to the northwest. (Kings Canyon Road to Herndon Avenue-J.T.) Definitely looked like helicopters--but very Stealth-like."

Questioned about the helicopters' appearance, Heuer said they had a "wide fuselage, no visible (tail) rotor, could not see underbelly--no visible landing gear. No noise of any type. No exhaust. Both were in tight formation, with one just in front of the other. The one in the rear seemed to be on the right-hand side of the one in the lead."

Interstate 5 Mystery Lights Solved?

About a week ago I received an e-mail from someone in Phoenix regarding the mystery lights that had been appearing on Interstate 5. They had been driving back from San Francisco on I-5 on their way home to Phoenix. According to them, it was around 11:30 pm and they were about 130 miles south of San Francisco when they saw strange lights ahead of them. Luckily they had a video camera with them and were able to record the object as they drove past it on the highway. From all the video’s I have seen taken out on I-5, this is the best one I have seen and may finally determine what some people have been seeing.

In the video you can see three bright lights and as the object turns you can see a fourth, dimmer, one at the end where the tail of an airplane would be. This leads me to believe that this is a crop duster and is probably what most people have seen. I know in a previous post I had discounted the notion of a crop duster but I did some research and found out that most dusting is done at night so that the chemicals sprayed won’t evaporate as much as they would if sprayed during the day. Also, some spraying of mosquitoes for West Nile virus is also done at night for the same reason.

I’m not closing the case on these sightings just yet. There is still the question of what this video shows. Still I’d like to go out there sometime soon and hopefully see a crop duster and get it on film, verifying it for a fact as man made. Knowing my luck, I’ll video something different and will only raise more questions.

Photo of Thanksgiving UFO

As luck would have it, my sister was able to get a shot of what she and I saw on the night of Nov. 27, 2008. Granted it's not the smoking gun that everyone wants, but it's still interesting. Any camera can't take a decent night shot without a good source of light and unfortunately this photo isn't the exception. But what is interesting is even before I tweaked the contrast and brightness is that you can see an orange light in the sky. So whatever it was, it was bright enough to show up on camera.

This is the unaltered original photo. You can barely see the orange object in the top third of the picture.

This is after I enhanced the photo. The object is much easier to see.

I know these aren't the best photos, but it's still something. There is one more photo that my sister took, though it's extremely dark but I'm going to see what I can do with it. I'm hoping someone else saw the same thing and can help elaborate what it was we saw.

Clovis Thanksgiving UFO sighting

I was inside a family member’s house when my sister came to get me, saying there was a strange light in the sky. We went back outside and noticed a strange red/orange light drifting in the sky in an upward motion traveling east to southwest. The object looked like it was on fire, and my first thought was maybe someone had their fireplace going and it was flaming debris, but the motion of the object was floating upward and there was no wind to carry anything. That and given the distance of the object to us (at arm's length it was about 1/4" diameter), the object was too large to be debris. I ruled out a flare as it wasn’t falling. It almost looked like it was something suspended from a balloon, but it was traveling to fast and it was traveling too fast to be a balloon. If it was a balloon, then it would have been visible or at least a reflection of the light would have been on the balloon.

I rushed to my car to grab my digital camera and my sister took hers out of her purse. I snapped a picture, but it was too dark so I deleted it. I then decided to change the settings on my camera in hope of maybe getting better luck. As soon as I looked back up, the object was gone. Total time of occurrence was five minutes.

Fresno's own UFO encounter

With the recent news that Great Britain's National Archives is releasing over 1500 documents regarding UFO sightings over Britain, I thought I would see if I could find anything of interest in regards to Fresno. First I went to the National UFO reporting center, but there were just vague accounts of people seeing bright lights in the sky, etc. Then a bit more digging I found this story, originally found here. The account is as follows:

Location of Sighting: Near Fresno Airport, Fresno, CA.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round or Diamond Shaped.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, my husband and I sent you our sighting report of 12 white orbs that we saw and photographed over Los Banos, CA on August 28, 2005, which you posted. You have asked for older reports so I am attaching a sighting my girlfriend and I had in 1969 which involved two jets chasing after a UFO spotted near the Fresno, CA Airport.

Clovis CA, June, 1969 It was about 10:00 P.M. on a warm clear evening mid - June of 1969. I had just graduated from High School and my best friend and I were sitting outside my home enjoying the clear dark sky and brilliantly shining stars. On a whim, we decided that we wanted to go to a late-night market in Fresno, about five miles away and buy some magazines to read. We got into my car and began to drive south to a shopping center near the Fresno Airport.

Along the way we decided to take a short cut on a small road adjacent to the airport which was flanked by an open field. We turned right onto the small two-lane road and were now driving along side the field and which was several hundred feet away from the fenced area near the end of the airport runway, which we could see clearly, including buildings and planes of the local Air National Guard. There were no street lights and the road was dark with no traffic, except for us. As we drove by we could see that most of the airport activities had stopped for the evening, which was normal, as no aircraft landed or took off from there at that time of night. 'We continued down the road talking, when I noticed my friend leaning forward in the passenger seat staring up at something in the sky. She motioned to me to look out my driver's side window saying "what is that?"

I looked out the window and saw an intense white strobing light hovering above apparently keeping pace with my car. I slowed down and it continued to follow at the same pace. As our windows were down, we most certainly would have heard an engine, was it a plane, but it made no noise at all. Not knowing what we were seeing, I pulled over, stopped the car and we both got out to take a better look. We were mesmerized by the intense white light of the object which now appeared diamond shaped and strobing quickly as it hovered above us. It was hard to estimate its altitude and size, but we guessed at arms length it would have been the size of a basketball. By now two other cars had come up behind us and had pulled off the road to look as well. Within moments the object started to move away from us, and began to pick up speed. All of a sudden we heard the roar of jet engines and looked up to see two military jets lifting off the runway in hot pursuit of this object.

The jets passed directly over us - so close that we could see the landing gear retract. We watched as the jets tried to close on the object. We were in a flat area of land and we could clearly see the object and jets streaking away from us heading due west. As the jets began to close on the object the object slowed and appeared to hover over the jets as if teasing them, and then it made an incredible 90 degree turn with several jerking, zigzag movements and shot off at tremendous speed to the South directly over downtown Fresno. The jets were left in its wake. We immediately jumped back into the car and decided to head home to tell our families what we had just witnessed.

It was about 10:45 PM when we reached the main intersection of town where we were stopped waiting the signal light to change. Suddenly all of the signal lights, and street lights started flashing on and off, including the caution lights at the train tracks which were directly in front of us beyond the intersection. A large bolt of electricity shot down a power line near the road, arcing and snapping till it got to the end and dissipated. We sat there watching these lights flashing on and off around us for about 3 - 4 minutes and then they all stopped and the signal turned green. We looked at each other and I floored it through the intersection and didn't let off the gas till we got to my friends home only a few blocks away.

When we pulled up to her house, some of the neighbors were all outside talking excitedly about what had just happened with the lights in the neighborhood. Of course they asked us if we saw it and we told them that we had witnessed that - and more. Wanting to confirm what we had seen earlier, we ran inside the house to phone the airport. Incredibly, the call was answered by a man in the control tower. I told him we had observed something in the sky close to the airport less than an hour ago and asked him if two National Guard jets had taken off to check it out. I was told point-blank that no planes had taken off at all that night. I asked him again, if he was sure, and he told me once again that no planes had taken off.

We knew we weren't going to get any further with him and we also knew he had to be lying as we saw the jets with our own eyes and had close enough to read the numbers on the planes. We told our families about what we had seen and received polite, yet insincere statements like "wow that must have been something". But we knew they didn't believe us. There was nothing in the local news the next day about a strange object in the sky or equally strange power surge and nothing was ever said about it again - except between my friend and me. We've recounted that night many times over the years, even up to this day. We know what we saw; we know what happened.

Calling the airport was fruitless, this event happened almost forty years ago. And if the National Guard denied anything then, why would the admit to anything now? Still it's an interesting story and makes me wonder how many times the National Guard jets have been scrambled. I had a friend who lived in the flight path of FYI and would sometimes see F-16's taking off at night. It could have been a training mission most likely. But being the only Air Guard base between SF and LA, they could have been scrambled for something else. Hopefully one day our government will divulge what these mysterious lights truely are.

Ufos in the Central Valley

So I'm watching this special on ABC Channel 30 right now called UFO's Seeing Is Believing. It's the usual drivel that the networks air every few years or so. They touch on the modern history of Ufology starting with Kenneth Arnold, the abduction phenoma (whether it's real or just sleep parylis) and of course Roswell. This is stuff I've heard before and nothing really new except for the new SETI installation in Northern California which has been mostly funded by Paul Allen.

I honestly wonder what the network hopes to gain from this besides ratings (and it's not even sweeps yet). They aren't adding anything really except maybe getting a few interested in the subject matter. But honestly who hasn't heard of UFO's, with the widespread of information available on the internet? I could go consipary theory and theorize that this is something put out by the government to confuse people. What better way to hide a secret then by leaking information by people who aren't reputable and are considered "nut jobs"? Honestly I don't believe that though I think the government isn't letting the public know everything. And for good reasons. Imagine the mass hysteria that would ensue if the public were made aware that aliens exist? The bible says that man was created in the image of God. Enter a bug eyed alien to through everything into chaos. I'm sure we'll find out one day. I hope.

I did see a UFO once. Not sure what it really was. But that's a story for another day.
