Triangle shaped UFO seen north of Fresno along Hwy. 41

It seems this video of a UFO filmed north of Fresno was making the rounds all last week. First a Canadian website was reporting on it and then one in India and multiple UFO websites out there. Watching the video several times had me perplexed. It wasn't a typical blurred out airplane on approach. So what was it? I decided to leave a comment on the person who posted the video to YouTube and see if they would get back to me.

As luck would have it, they did. A husband and wife were driving north on Hwy 41 when the husband saw a strange light near Valley Children's Hospital. They quickly exited 41 at Children's Blvd. and looped around Mesa Blvd. until it turned into Cobb Ranch Rd. It was here they got a good view of the object and proceeded to film it.

From what I was told the object wasn't moving very fast and at first it seemed to move slowly towards them before reversing its course and heading back the way it had come before disappearing out of sight.

I has asked if anyone else besides the couple had seen it and was told no. I had also mentioned the possibility of it being a medvac helicopter coming in for a landing but was told by the wife that they live near Fresno Yosemite and is familiar with what a helicopter looks like as it's nearing touchdown.

So here's the proverbial question: what was this thing? Could the witnesses be wrong and it was a helicopter approaching the hospital? I asked the witness what day and time they had filmed this and was told it was on February 14 at around 10:00 pm (maybe the aliens were going for a romantic drive?) and several phone calls have been made to Valley Children's to see if any medvacs landed around that time. I'm also going to see if I can find a number through either Fresno Yosemite or the FAA and see if I can find anything out this way. Even if I'm told nothing was in the area at that time that rules out the possibility of a helicopter. This leads it to either being some government type aircraft or aliens taking a joy ride through the San Joaquin River. If it was some government secret project, why have lights on the damn thing and fly it near a hospital? Though given the current state of affairs in DC and the lack of any common sense this wouldn't surprise me really. As for aliens, I guess it's possible. I mean Valley Children's has some advanced tech in it, maybe they were curious as to how we treat our young. Nah, I still say they were joy riding. It's what I would do if dad left me the keys to his flying saucer.

Interesting enough the witness also included this map of where they were located when the filmed the object as well as an estimate of where the object was at given some known locations and distances. I wonder if anyone else at the hospital saw this. I think it’s time to do a bit of digging.

Did a UFO crash near Fresno over the weekend?

There's been a few stories circulating over the last few days of a reported UFO crashing in the mountains north of Fresno and that it was some sort of top secret military craft and it was somehow linked to a rumored underground base underneath the Fresno Air National Guard base at Fresno Yosemite International airport that is said to connect to NORAD in Colorado.

Jeffrey Gonzalez of the Sanger Paranormal Society and a state director for MUFON (the Mutual UFO Network) was able to shoot some video of what he claims to be the mysterious craft in question. In the video below you can see several lights in a triangular formation with a flashing strobe in the middle (an anti-collision light found on most aircraft?). Unfortunately it's hard to make out what the object is and there's nothing in the shot to compare it too for size reference.

Not really sure what to make of on this story. There's no mention of it on the MUFON site nor it's sightings database. Nor was there any mention of it on the National UFO Reporting Center. There's only mention of this story on a few blogs of the story and a YouTube video.

I'm doing a bit of research myself on this story. I've already contacted the California State Director of MUFON to hear what they have to say. I have several contacts who have worked at the Air National Guard base over the years and I want to see if they have ever heard of any rumors of an underground base.

This is one of those stories that's too interesting to dismiss too quickly and I'll post updates as I get them.

Former police officer watches as alien children vanish

Anyone who knows me that I only fear two things when it comes to the paranormal. Being abducted by a UFO and ghostly children, or just creepy children in particular. So when I read this story and saw that both of my fears had been combined into some good ol' fashion nightmare fuel I knew I had to share.

An ex-police officer, giving his name as Nick R, stated that while he was driving home one night after work he saw an orange oval light in the sky that he knew could not be the moon. He parked his car at his flat, went inside and then came out about 10 minutes later for a smoke.

As he was smoking he looked out onto the fields that were on the back side of where his flat was at. There, in the darkness, he saw what he thought were children "messing about". As he was watching the "children" the orange globe appeared in the sky and the the children disappeared.

Nick R then reflects that perhaps those were not children that he had seen, but in fact alien beings and they somehow returned to the craft.

Now I don't smoke. But if I saw what this guy did I would start smoking the entire pack to calm my nerves down. Then I would have ran back inside and found the nearest bottle of bourbon. Yeah I'm a wuss, I know.

A FORMER police officer saw a UFO, and what he thought were children that “disappeared all of a sudden”, while driving from Hertford to Puckeridge.

The sighting was in July last year, but has only emerged within the last few days on a UFO-watcher’s website.

In his tantalising account the ex-cop, who identified himself only as Nick R, wrote: “I saw whilst driving along the A10 going home one evening after work north a light which was not the moon, orange and oval in shape. I drove into my parking space in Puckeridge and went into my flat. Faffed about for about 10 minutes then went outside for a cigarette.

“I saw something which I have never told anyone about. My flat was in Cambridge Court in Puckeridge backed on to fields. I saw in the twilight what I thought were kids messing about. No, as the light faded around 21.30 the orange globe appeared in the sky. I was at this time watching something on TV, then went outside for a fag again.”

Chillingly he raised the prospect of seeing alien beings that he initially thought were “children”, in the field – a so-called ‘close encounter of the third kind’.

He added: “I know that area is a flight path from Stansted, but that was strange.

“The children disappeared all of a sudden. I lived there for one-and-a-half years, and never experienced anything like that.”

In reply to the post another site user wrote: Intrigued by your report, am interested in sightings on either 25/26th of July in this area seems to be a pattern.”

He suggested Nick R report his sighting on another site dedicated to serving and retired police officers’ sightings of UFO-related phenomena.

Face of Jesus seen in satellite imagery of farmland

Satellite pictures appear to reveal the Lord's bearded face staring out of the ground in eastern Hungary.

Eagle-eyed web browsers noticed it while looking at Google Maps images of remote farmland.

It seems the Son of God is busy making appearances througout the world as last month he was reportedly spotted burned into the cooking fat of a pan of bacon. Which proves, in fact, that bacon is heavenly.

Zombies to invade Fresno today!

Could road signs like this be a daily occurrence in Fresno? Let's hope not.

I get plenty of strange e-mails here at Weird Fresno. From people claiming to have seen Bigfoot in their back yard, to seeing lights in the sky. But after doing this for over a year now, I recieved the strangest e-mail yet. Zombies are to invade Fresno today.

You read correctly. The walking dead are in Fresno.

Now I'm not really sure what is going to happen. The e-mail I sent was rather cryptic. All I was told is that there is to be a gathering of zombies on one of the corners of Blackstone and Shaw today from 5:00 to 6:30 or so. Nothing else was said. Blackstone and Shaw has been known lately for protest gatherings. Could the walking dead be protesting something? And why here in Fresno?

Whatever the case may be, this blogger of all things weird and completely bat shit insane intends to find out. I'll be armed with a camera, a video recorder, and a sawed off shot gun. Expect a post tomorrow of what happened. Assuming I don't get bit and join their ranks. Or you can check out for yourself what is going on this evening, if you have the stomach for such things.

Strange alien like creature caught on film in Peru

Apparently there's all sorts of strange creatures wandering around in South America. A while back I had posted about the El Duende sightings in Argentina and now there's this strange, stick like creature wandering around.

At about the 10 second mark, you see a very thin, hunched over creature moving on the middle right side of the screen. It moves right and then disappears off screen.

As usual the video isn't the best, and since my Spanish is lacking to say the least, I have no idea what in the hell they are saying. Who knows what this is. Though my theory is that it was nothing more than Gumby on vacation in Peru.

Did an innocent girl share a dance with the Devil at the Rainbow Ballroom?

The Rainbow Ballroom on Broadway in downtown Fresno. There's a story that several decades ago there was a dance held at the Rainbow Ballroom, in downtown Fresno. The place was filled with many people, and at this dance there was a handsome man that everyone seemed to be noticing and talking about. He was tall, had dark features, and was dressed in an expensive white suit.

As the night wore on, he asked a young woman by the name of Patricia to dance. She was happy that she was chosen out of all the woman there and began dancing with the handsome stranger, who was said to have a very smooth sounding voice.

As the night continued, they danced and danced. For some reason she looked down and saw the man's feet. To her horror, one of the man's feet resembled a huge chicken foot. Terrified at what she saw she began screaming loudly. Everyone stopped dancing at the sounds of her screaming and looked at her to see what was going on. They saw the man's strange foot and could not believe what they were seeing. At that moment he smiled at everyone and disappeared.

No one knows who this strange man was. Some say he was a ghost of a man that was killed there years ago, others say he was a demon playing that enjoyed scaring young women. And then some say it was the Devil himself, reminding everyone that they won't know who he is until it's too late.
