Possible Nightcrawler-Like Entity Reported in Madera, California

About six months ago there was a post on the sub-Reddit r/cryptids that happened to share a rather odd encounter that took place in  Madera, California. A witness reported seeing a small, ghost-white figure meandering through their yard. The individual was sitting on their porch when the entity appeared and described it to be short, about 3 to 4 feet tall. 

According to the witness, the figure didn’t make any sound or show any signs of aggression. Instead, it simply roamed through the yard at a steady pace. The witness admitted they then became startled and briefly ran inside; by the time they looked again, the figure had disappeared.

The witness was able to draw up a rough sketch of what they saw — a white, rounded form with two dark eye-like shapes and elongated leg-like extensions. While simple, the drawing captures the general appearance of the entity as they described it.

Since posting, commenters have repeatedly compared the figure to the Fresno Nightcrawler, our well-known local cryptid characterized by its pale color, smooth body, and long, flowing legs. Though the witness never mentioned the Nightcrawler themselves, the resemblance noted by commenters is hard to ignore.

While looking into the report further, I checked to see if the witness had mentioned the encounter elsewhere on Reddit. I found a separate comment from the same user on another r/cryptids thread asking about people’s most shocking cryptid experiences. In that comment, the witness again referenced seeing a Nightcrawler-like figure — this time in the backyard of an Airbnb they were staying at. 

At the time of this posting, the original witness has not replied to follow-up questions that I have sent them. The exact date and time of the sighting are still unknown, just that it happened six months before they made their post on Reddit.
